As a child, Karin aspired to be an artist like her mother...
…she was a multifaceted woman, and mother of six. Extremely intelligent and an artist in every medium she tried, it seemed that everything she touched she made better and more beautiful. She imparted this to all around her. Karin and her siblings inherited this characteristic, and what a beautiful gift it has been.As early as Karin can remember, she wanted to be a physician. Karin became a Plastic Surgeon, the first female in the city of Austin. Developing an expertise in trauma, burns, reconstruction and aesthetics.

The scope of the work
Karin’s interest in Realism, Botanical Illustration and modern Design in watercolor and ink has evolved with the help of talented teachers at Laguna Gloria. Karin loves the ocean, and during her latest travels she added mossaics to her favourite mediums.
